As a Strategic Advisor, Trade Compliance Market Watch, Financial Markets, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing and mitigating the impacts of local and global regulatory developments, business initiatives and technological innovations on the Trade Surveillance function. You will conduct research, liaise with industry associations, regulatory organizations and communicate compliance trends to the Trade Surveillance teams in order to optimize the continuous improvement process.

**Your role**:

- Through various sources, screen and monitor local and global regulatory initiatives and sanctions, business initiatives, industry trends and best practices which may be relevant for the Trade Surveillance program.
- Develop a communication strategy to efficiently transfer information to relevant stakeholders.
- Actively participate in projects aiming at implementing change and review and amend policies, procedures and programs to comply with current regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review various reports for Senior Management and the Executive Team.
- Participate in committees, projects, internal and external activities and represent the interests of Trade Surveillance within the firm.
- Implement procedures for the review of advertisements, sales literature, correspondences and business conduct.
- You will report to the Senior Director, Market Surveillance and IT Infrastructure. The Market Surveillance team is expanding. **Competencies required**
- University degree in a relevant field and 8 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Advanced understanding of financial markets and applicable laws and regulations as well as global regulatory trends.
- Experience in reviewing and writing policies and procedures, communications and reports.
- Strong ability to plan, organize and prioritize, multiple processes, and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and analytical skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change in a rapidly evolving environment, with a strong problem-solving capacity.

**Preferred competencies**:

- Experience in reviewing regulatory initiatives and interpreting their impact.
- Experience in compliance.
- Post graduate education or certification holder in a related discipline.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and with Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Sharepoint.
