PRIMARY DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS:

- Administer the full payroll cycle on ADP WorkforceNow for approximately three hundred (300) employees in OntarioClose pay periods, including initiating an automated transfer of time cards from MakeShift to ADP WorkforceNow
- Ensure that the Finance Department has all relevant data related to legislated statutory remittances (e.g. income tax, CPP, EI, EHT)Ensure that the Finance Department has all relevant data related to enable accounting entries and financial reporting (e.g. employee pay and expenses)Prepare reports to enable management decision-making (e.g. exception reports, analysis of work hours)
- Prepare Records of Employment (ROEs) as requiredComplete year-end payroll procedures, including the review and processing of T4 and T4A statements
- Respond to employee inquiries in a timely mannerEnsure payroll is in compliance with relevant legislation, principles, practices and guidelines, as well as processed in an accurate & timely mannerEnsure that HR data/records in ADP WorkforceNow or physical files are updated and maintained in an accurate, secure, and confidential mannerMonitor and manage data in ADP WorkforceNow to facilitate effective processing and reporting
- Other duties, as assigned by the Director of HR or their designateBackfill for Accounts Payable responsibilities, as needed, including processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and preparing payments to ensure seamless financial operations.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Post secondary education in human resources, finance and/or payroll or equivalent combination of experience and transferable skills
- Payroll certification considered an asset, but not a requirement
- 3-5 years of xperience in payroll administration
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines regarding human resource and payroll administration (including withholding and remitting)Experience with payroll systems; proficiency working with ADP is an assetExperience with accounting software:

- Quickbooks Desktop is an assetStrong technical literacy with advanced Microsoft Excel skillsDetailed-oriented and a resourceful self-starter with demonstrated ability to take initiativeStrong time management, organizational, multi-tasking and problem solving skills
- Ability to work with tight deadlinesStrong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills to deal effectively with multiple stakeholdersAble to work both independently with minimum supervision and effectively with other team membersExcellent ability to maintain confidentialityStrong technical literacy and a willingness to improve

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
