KW Habilitation is a local not-for-profit organization that provides a wide range of individualized services and supports to children with any special need and adults with developmental disabilities. The Accounts Payable Assistant will portray a positive attitude, act as a role model to staff, and communicate responsibly, professionally, and objectively. The Accounts Payable Assistant will ensure that all services provided are within the context of KWH’s philosophy, policies and procedures, and that they are consistent with legislative requirements.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide financial, clerical, and administrative services in order to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operations.
- Ensure that KW Habilitation’s (KWH) finances are accurate and up to date, that staff are paid for expenses in a timely and appropriate manner, and that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.
- Contribute to the efficient day-to-day operations of the KWH office, and support the work of management, other staff, and the Board of Directors.

**Requirements**:

- Ontario Secondary School High School Diploma (or Equivalent)
- Post-Secondary Education in Administration
- 5 years relevant experience in payroll accounting support
- Knowledge of mathematical calculations and bookkeeping procedures
- Strong computer skills including demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and accounting programs such as ACCPAC
- Strong organizational skills and detailed oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, be adaptable and flexible

**Schedule**: 40 hours a week 9am-5pm (some flexibility required)
**Rate of Pay**: $20.87 - $23.19, includes benefits
**Start Date**: ASAP
