McManes Automotive is looking for a Payroll Clerk to join our team to process payroll for our brand-new Country Hills Ford dealership, located north of Calgary. The successful individual will be organized, self motivated, work well under pressure, take directions well and have a strong computer background with programs such as Microsoft and CDK. Automotive Payroll experience is an asset; however, we are willing to train the right individual.

**Hours and Pay**:

- Monday - Friday 8:00/8:30 am - 4:00/4:30 pm
- $55,000-60,000 per year depending on experience
- **Overtime will be required** each of the first two business days of the month to complete month end. You will receive time off in lieu that must be taken the same month as agreed in advance with your manager, not eligible to be banked.

**Essential Functions of the Position**:
1. Basic duties and responsibilities:

- Compiles payroll data such as hours worked; sales volume, bonuses, and commissions; monies to be withheld for taxes; etc., from time sheets and other records.
- Prepares direct deposit for payroll. Pay periods are semi-monthly or monthly.
- Assist in the completion of annual procedures such as year-end balancing and employee earnings statement preparation.
- Administer group benefits.
- Manage and execute all data and maintain employee files as it relates to employee hiring, terminations and onboarding process on our HR4 Platform.
- Administration of any government programs (new, current, past).
- Reconcile payroll schedules after each payroll.
- Reconcile WIP monthly.
- Petty Cash maintenance and reconciliation / replenishment
- Cash outs - reconciliation of daily cash/cc receipts to invoicing from the new, used, finance, parts, service, and body departments.
- Month end support to accounting department which entails but is not limited to the creation of commission / managers pay summaries and various m/e reporting requirements.
- Work with health and safety manager to manage and process all disability and WCB claims and inquiries, WCB remittance.

2. Other related duties:

- Process ROE’s
- Letters of employment
- CRA reconciliation
- GL reconciliation
- Managing pensions
- Managing Canada Life
- Stationery
- Scanning

3. Job Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years previous payroll experience.
- Working knowledge of Alberta Employment law and payroll legislation.
- Attention to Detail, good communication skills and team player.
- Accounting background with solid understanding of payroll processes.
- Dealership experience is an asset.
- CDK and Payworks experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with payroll software or other related computer programs.
