Typical duties can include, but are not limited to:Processing payroll, and reconciling accounts, auditing, and paying bills related to payrollProviding support to the Payroll and HR teams, including assisting with benefits administrationEnsuring all salaries/wages are paid accurately (depending on each provincial legislation policy)Verifying bi-weekly time sheets and entering information into the payroll programMaintaining, tracking, and providing reports on all vacation, attendance, pensions, sick leave, and statutory holidaysOther duties as assignedExperience:A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Canadian Payroll is requiredPayroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certificate considered an assetKnowledge of various payroll software/platformsSkills:Professional and positive personalityExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalHigh attention to detail and organizationStrong sense of confidentiality and discretionAdaptable, flexible, and able to function effectively autonomously as well as in a team environmentAbility to work well under pressure / fast-paced work environmentsBase Salary:$22.00-30.00+ per hour depending on assignmentTemporary employees are payrolled weekly via direct deposit.Work Hours:Work hours will vary depending on the assignment details and employers’ needs. This information will be confirmed at the time of your interview or offering of assignment(s).Day shiftsMonday – FridayUp to 40 hours per week• Part time opportunities available – 1-3 days per weekAdditional Notes:This opportunity does not include relocation.
