Summary

N.P.A. Ltd, a Colas Company, now has an opening for a professional and enthusiastic person for a full-time position of, **Safety Administrator, **based out of our Edmonton head office. Reporting to the Senior Safety Administrator, this position will take leadership of the NSC (National Safety Code) program while providing support to the Safety team.

Key Responsibilities
- Take leadership of the NSC (National Safety Code) program
- Conduct orientations for new hires, re-hires, as well as sub-contractors when required
- Answer any safety-related questions or concerns that the employee may have
- Ensure all orientation/ hire-on paperwork is completed properly and handed over to appropriate personnel
- Copy and file training certifications upon completion of orientation
- Coordinate safety training for employees
- Coordinate training and documents for site jobs.
- Review and sign off on Hazard Assessments, Toolbox Talks, and Inspections forms daily
- Keep training records database up to date
- File and organize hazard assessments
- Receive time sheets to update fatigue management statistics
- Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company's Cod of Ethics.
- Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics.
- Other safety administrative duties as required.

Qualifications I Requirements
- Minimum, High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Post-secondary graduate, with a major in Administration or Business from a recognized institution preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months to 2 years' office related experience in an administrative role required.
- Experience within a road construction industry is an asset
- Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 10 LBS on a regular basis.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are required

Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an indoor setting and may include a combination of standing, sitting, and walking. Sitting for extended periods of time is required.
- Short periods of travel may occur on occasions.
- Overtime as required
- This is a seasonal position, with a possibility of becoming a year round opportunity
