The Strategic Policy team is part of the Policy, Evaluation & Planning (PEP) department, which has recently joined the portfolio of the Chief Legal, Privacy and Governance Officer. Strategic Policy is a dynamic and talented group of individuals, with experience spanning health, law, policy, research, and political science.
**Title**: Policy Analyst
**Salary**: $66,597 - $83,246 - $91,571 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Permanent
**Hours**: 37.5 hrs Monday
- Friday, normal office hours 8:30am-4:30pm (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri
**Location**: Metro Vancouver Offices_ Sinclair Centre -Hybrid, minimum 3 days in office (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.
**About the role**
The Policy Analyst is a new role created to support critical and foundational work of the Strategic Policy team, and Policy, Evaluation and Planning (PEP) more broadly. Duties will include research and analysis, reviewing and summarizing key policy/legal/research products, supporting the development of briefing notes and presentations, developing tools, templates and processes.
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:
Education
- University degree in Political Science, Public or Health Administration or Social Sciences or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience
- 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Demonstrated experience working with First Nations leadership and communities
- Relevant and recent experience in analysis, ideally in the health sector or with First Nations issues and priorities
- Experience in research, writing, and note-taking

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
