**THE JOB: Governance Policy Analyst**
The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.
Starting Salary Range: $80,066 - $100,083
The Governance Policy Analyst plays a critical role in supporting governance initiatives and driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Board, the Representative Assembly, and committees at Doctors of BC. Reporting to the Director, Governance, this position is responsible for conducting in-depth research on governance best practices, preparing reports, proposals, and policies, and implementing training materials related to the organization’s governance structure. The role involves a strategic focus on governance analysis, ensuring that best practices are integrated into the Board of Directors, Representative Assembly, and various committees to promote continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.
This role emphasizes maintaining high ethical standards and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, helping to align the organization’s governance activities with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The Governance Policy Analyst will work closely with team members and leadership to foster collaboration, build strong relationships, and ensure the successful execution of governance-related projects. In addition, the Governance Policy Analyst will be a key player in promoting diversity and inclusion within the governance framework by researching and implementing inclusive policies and practices.
The Governance Policy Analyst will be instrumental in shaping and advancing the governance processes at Doctors of BC, ensuring a strategic, effective, and inclusive approach to decision-making.
**WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE**

- Devises, facilitates buy-in, makes recommendations, and guides implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions for complex issues that cross organizational boundaries and are unclear in nature.

**Thoroughness (A)**:
- Identifies potential areas of conflicting priorities and vulnerability in achieving standards.
- Reviews department’s progress against established goals, objectives, service level targets, and project milestones.
