**DEPARTMENT: People and Technology**
The People and Technology Department is comprised of three teams:
The **People & Strategy **team manages recruitment, employee benefits, compensation, job evaluation, policies and procedures, rewards and recognition, training, employee engagement initiatives, and supports the culture at Doctors of BC. The People & Strategy team also responds to questions and concerns regarding teamwork or the work environment.
The** Infrastructure **team manages the physical assets of Doctors of BC related to the building office equipment and maintenance of the building. The team also responds and provides resolution to any issues concerning office equipment, furniture, and building maintenance. They also manage the internal and external mail, take care of general office services, and provide support to the tenants within the building.
The** Information Technology** (IT) team provides technical and software support and training to the employees of Doctors of BC. The IT team is a strategic business partner to further advance the interests of the organization through technology.

**THE JOB**:Quality Assurance Analyst, IT**
Reporting to the PMO (Project Management Office) Manager, the QA Analyst will work closely with project teams to review the overall functional and non-functional requirements of enterprise solutions while keeping the quality of the solution and the user’s perspective in mind.
The analyst’s responsibilities include:
- Interpreting requirements and the acceptance criteria to create detailed comprehensive test plans and validation strategies.
- Conducting various forms of testing including UI, functional, regression, and system integration testing.
- Determining which test cases under what conditions will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of testing.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to reproduce, analyze, and document the planning, testing, and coordination of release and UAT activities.
- Communicate any obstacles to raise awareness and avoid project impediments and overall project timeline disruption.

**Information Systems Knowledge (I)**
- Maintains and applies up-to-date knowledge of discrete and integrated information systems elements relevant to the quality assurance domain.
- Identifies customer needs and determines the appropriate testing approach based on QA best practices.
- Designs, coordinates, and tests enterprise-wide information system solutions that align with organizational processes and long-term strategies.
**Problem Solving (A)**:
- Diagnoses problems using formal problem-solving tools and techniques from multiple angles and probes underlying issues to generate multiple potential solutions.
- Devises, facilitates buy-in, makes recommendations, and guides the implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions for complex issues that cross organizational boundaries and are unclear in nature.
- Identifies potential consequences and risk levels. Seeks support and buy-in for problem definition, methods of resolution, and accountability.

- Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy.
- Puts systems in place and uses them to monitor and detect errors and problems.
