The Associate Finance Manager is responsible for the preparation analysis and interpretation of Monthly Financial Reports and schedules and similarly Annual Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts. The Associate Finance Manager is also responsible for the monthly accounting close including the monitoring of general ledger entries. They will support the Senior Manager of Finance and BU VP on various ad hoc projects and requests from Corporate Management and will also handle other statutory and regulatory reporting tasks as well as overseeing all Lease accounting. In addition, the Associate Finance Manager will be responsible for the management and development of the Financial Analyst overseeing that all Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations are performed timely and accurately. The Associate Finance Manager will provide guidance and transition knowledge of other key Finance and Accounting functions over time while working closely with Divisional Finance head to align processes and ensure best practices.

**Job Duties**:

- Participate in company’s monthly quarterly and annual close by reviewing and preparing complex journal entries.
- Prepare, analyse and interpret various monthly financial and management reports.
- Oversee the accuracy of the ledger and ensure the integrity of their balances in the GL.
- Perform and prepare monthly analysis for Balance sheet and Income statement accounts and provide explanations for variances.
- Perform and review team’s GL Account reconciliation and ensure that all necessary journal entries are prepared and properly reviewed and posted to correct GL accounts.
- Handle payroll accounting and reconcile payroll disbursements.
- Maintain controls as per J Sox requirements Accounting Manual and RCF guidelines.
- Participate in all internal and external audit.
- Lead Annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Support Olympus Canada Leasing business through management of lease software and lease accounting.
- Payroll related accounting entries and reconciliations.
- Monitor and reconcile pension accounts and upload contributions to benefits provider.
- Monitor and update headcount listing working with Human Resource department to ensure accuracy.

**Job Qualifications**:
**Required**:

- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
- Minimum of 5 Years experience in field of study proficiency in Excel and Access Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.
- CGA CA or CPA accounting designation is strongly preferred together with broad based business experience.
- Experience working in Lease accounting is highly desired.

**Preferred**:

- Hyperion Knowledge is required.
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non
- technical team members.
- Must exhibit tact and diplomacy.
- Telephone and written etiquette required.
- Must be a team player have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
- Ability to shift priorities quickly and adjust work schedule based on workload.
- Flexibility and adaptability essential must possess exceptional organizational skill.
- Must be able to work independently multitask and prioritize workload in order to meet demanding deadlines.
