**Landmark Dispatcher Servicing York Region**

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The incumbent will work cooperatively with the entire operations and shop team in an open office environment. Main dispatching duties include ensuring daily that all school bus and transit routes are filled by a driver and bus, managing the two-way radio including emergency situations in a calm and polite manner, organizing replacement/spare operators to cover for holiday and other absences and assisting with charter dispatching.

Other duties include greeting visitors and handling incoming calls and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner. General office duties include filing, keyboarding, photocopying, faxing and other tasks as assigned. Safety and positive customer relations are the cornerstones of this position. A key component of employment at Landmark Bus Lines is a demonstrated initiative to assist others in other areas when requested or required.

**QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**: The incumbent must possess the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing and to be flexible and adaptable. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required along with the ability to be flexible to work in a fast-paced environment. To succeed in the position, the incumbent must exhibit politeness and professionalism to all customers internal and external and be a team player with the ability to work with others. Must hold a Valid B class driver’s license.
