**Chief Financial Officer Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide leadership on accounting, finance, information technology and administrative functions
- Develop, direct and implement best practices for financial, accounting and banking matters
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and records
- Prepare budgets, financial forecasts and financial analysis
- Manage cash flow, inventory and short term investments
- Provide cost and profitability analysis for numerous, customized projects
- Maintain positive working relationships with financial lenders through open and timely communications
- Develop and implement internal controls and risk management policies and procedures
- Oversee and assist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements as well as monthly and quarterly reports
- Lead, mentor and develop the financial team
- Assist with IT system selections and conversions

**Selection Criteria**:

- Post-secondary education in business or finance, coupled with a professional accounting designation (CPA)
- Minimum 8 years progressive financial management experience in the private sector including previous experience in a senior role preferably in manufacturing
- Strong technical skills in finance, accounting, management reporting, financial analysis, and ASPE
- Experience with cost accounting, financial modeling, and scenario analysis
- Ability to manage multiple projects and produce quality materials under tight timeframes
- Previous experience managing accounting in a customized project environment
- Track record of successfully leading people and influencing change
- Experience with manufacturing IT systems
- Is energized by working in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
- Experience with foreign exchange is desirable
- Experience in the manufacturing, agriculture, or automotive sector is an asset
- Is open to relocating to Steinbach or surrounding area
