Looking to hire a KITCHEN HAND to be trained as a COMMIS CHEF and eventually a more regular CHEF DE PARTIE for both Europa Catering (TORONTO), Europa Convention Centre (MISSISSAUGA), locations in North York and Vaughn, as well as other areas that we are hired to cater for.

**MUST be available to work on the weekends, evenings and late nights.**

This is a casual and part time position. There will be a chance to work more shifts as we enter our busy season. More opportunities to work day shifts will arise in our busy season.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare food according to menu and company standards
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
- Prepare ingredients for cooking
- Prepare salads, sandwiches, and other dishes
- Awareness of food safety and sanitation issues
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment
- Take out the trash
- Wash, dry, and put away dishes
- Unload food supplies from delivery trucks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team

**Job Types**: Casual, Seasonal

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay
- Tips

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Food safety: 2 years (preferred)
- Food service: 2 years (required)
- Food handling: 2 years (required)
- Food preparation: 2 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

- Spanish (preferred)
