Passionate about delivering financial excellence?** The Richmond Olympic Oval** is seeking a detail-oriented **Financial Accounting Specialist** **to contribute to key financial operations, ensure data accuracy, and provide valuable insights that support effective decision-making in a collaborative and dynamic environment
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Financial Operations**:Oversee purchase orders, payroll processing, and Accounts Receivable/Payable, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- **Financial Reporting & Analysis**:Prepare and reconcile financial statements, budgets, and expense reports, and conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
- **Month-End Close & Reconciliations**:Perform month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and petty cash management.
- **Audit & Compliance**: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring financial operations meet regulatory standards.
- **Process Improvement & Special Projects**: Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead or assist with special projects in collaboration with senior management and other departments.
- **Other Responsibilities**: Performs other related duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in full-cycle accounting.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of full-cycle payroll experience considered an asset.
- Experience with SAGE 300 considered an asset.
**Soft Skills**
- Proven ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
- Strong independent work ethic with effective team collaboration skills.
