An Accounts Receivable Specialist is a professional who focuses on analyzing and managing the financial aspects related to a company's customers. His/her role typically involves evaluating customer creditworthiness, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring that the company's financial transactions with customers are conducted smoothly and efficiently. This person plays a crucial role in ensuring that a company maintains healthy financial relationships with its customers, thereby contributing to the overall financial stability and success of the organization. Here are some key responsibilities and skills associated with a Customer Financial Analyst:
Key Responsibilities:

- Assess the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers by reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and payment histories.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely payments, identify overdue accounts, and take appropriate actions to collect outstanding balances.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to customer transactions, including aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and profitability analyses.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with customer transactions, such as credit risk and payment default risk.
- Work closely with sales and customer service teams to address financial issues, resolve disputes, and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Develop and implement processes and policies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of customer financial management.
- Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist with internal audits as required.

Key Skills:

- Strong ability to analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other financial data.
- High level of accuracy in financial reporting and data management.
- Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly and effectively to both internal teams and customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies and resolve payment issues.
- Focus on maintaining positive relationships with customers while managing financial aspects.
- Proficiency in financial software, accounting systems, and MS Excel for financial modeling and analysis.

Typical Background:

- Education: A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Required minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant field.
