We’re on the lookout for a **Human Resources Generalist** to join our team at our Surrey office. Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for all things HR—**recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, health and safety, and more.** Every day will be different, and you'll have plenty of opportunities to grow and make an impact
**Requirements**:
**What You’ll Be Doing**:
- Partnering with managers to support hiring, employee relations, and workplace best practices
- Acting as the bridge between employees and leadership—answering questions, addressing concerns, and keeping communication smooth
- Managing our Applicant Tracking System (Workable) and finding creative ways to build a strong talent pipeline
- Ensuring a smooth onboarding experience, so new hires feel welcomed and set up for success
- Handling offboarding with care—exit interviews, feedback analysis, and process improvements
- In collaboration with the HR Manager, supporting performance management—keeping reviews on track and coaching managers along the way
- Working closely with the HR Manager on leave management, reporting to WSBC, and return-to-work programs
- Co-chairing or leading the **Joint Health and Safety Committee**—organizing meetings, conducting inspections, and keeping our workplace safe
- Keeping our HR systems and reporting up to date (we promise, spreadsheets aren’t all bad)
- Helping keep everyone informed—sharing policy updates, company news, training, and event details
- With guidance by the HR Manager, taking the lead of the **Social Committee** to help create a fun and engaging workplace culture
- Jumping in to provide payroll and benefits support when needed
- Learning and growing in HR every step of the way
**What We’re Looking For**:
- **1-3 years** of HR experience and at least a **one-year certificate in HR**:
- A **people-first mindset** with strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A “roll up your sleeves” attitude—you're proactive, resourceful, and solution-focused
- Ability to **handle sensitive issues with confidentiality and professionalism**:
- Strong time management—you can juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat
- Knowledge of **employment legislation** (Health & Safety, Employment Standards, Human Rights, etc.)
- Bonus points if you can stay cool under pressure and approach challenges with a positive, can-do attitude
