**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Human Resource Generalist supports the Company’s recruitment and selection cycle, employee relations, performance management, training and development, employment law/legislation and compliance, compensation and benefits administration, and HR systems while providing guidance and support to HY Partners, Managers/Supervisors and Employees on all things HR. This role is instrumental in helping support and maintain the company and workplace culture.

This is a part time position, working three (3) to four (4) days per week. This role is required to work in the office.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Provide HR consultation, coaching, and support to staff, managers, and partners including performance management, recruitment, and employee relations activities.
- Responsible for maintaining HRIS - BambooHR and Deltek Talent Management (LMS) to include regular data integrity checks and assist employees with how to use these platforms.
- Partner with hiring managers in the Recruitment cycle for all positions.
- Maintain and administer compensation plan and benefit programs.
- Maintain and grow the current HR and people programs in alignment with organizational short-term and long-term business objectives/strategy.
- Various reporting and analysis of data and communicate data and findings to Partnership group and managers/supervisors.
- Responsible for internal communications through HR platform
- Maintain and update organizational policy and procedures.
- Maintain and update employee handbook.
- Regularly review compensation data
- Assist and support managers and employees with training and development opportunities and process government job grant claims.
- Be active with personal and professional training and development.
- Work with senior leadership in supporting workplace plans when required and develop appropriate recruitment and retention strategies.
- Support special projects and initiatives such as employee engagement surveys, professional development plans, new performance initiatives, and compensation structure development.
- Conduct exit interviews and process off-boarding paperwork to include processing of ROE’s.
- Support Company H&S program including Joint Health and Safety Committee.
- Oversee training on company policy, programs and other topics as needed.
- Manage all leaves of absences and report workplace injuries to WorkSafe BC and manage these claims.
- Other generalist HR duties as required.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the job.
- Post-secondary education related to human resources management or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of HR generalist experience, including some exposure to talent acquisition.
- Working knowledge/experience with payroll systems as the benefits administrator.
- Sound knowledge of labour law and HR best practices
- Ability to make well-reasoned and timely decisions based on objective and informed analysis.
- Understanding of, and some experience with, core aspects of Human Resource Management (talent acquisition; employee relations; performance management; training).
- Possess a demonstrated ability to take initiative, be pro-active, and learn from others.
- Have strong verbal and written communication, organizational and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively problem solve, prioritize and multi-task and the ability to operate in collaboration with all levels of the organization.
- Comfortable being the stand-alone HR professional within the organization.
- Team Player.
- Ability to understand the business operations and financial implications.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with mínimal supervision.
