The Payroll and Human Resources Administrator is responsible for supporting the payroll and human resources functions using a keen eye for detail, superior organization and incredible communication skills to ensure Gateway Mechanical Services is an employer of choice.

**What you will be doing**:

- Effectively navigate ADP to ensure all salary and hourly employee information is accurate; including pay changes, title changes and reporting structure changes.
- Ensure monthly union remittances are accurately calculated and remittance requisition sent to accounting for approval and processing.
- Ensure premiums and taxable benefits are tracked, up to date, and deducted monthly from employees currently on the Gateway benefit program.
- Track vacation entitlements on a quarterly basis and provide finance with a monthly liability vacation accrual report.
- Support the recruitment cycle by scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, preparing offer letters, electronic filing and ensuring onboarding is completed.
- Support the implementation of ADP.
- Appropriately handle confidential information and respond to employees in a friendly and timely manner.

**What you bring**:

- 1 year of previous experience in a similar role
- Certificate or diploma in human resources or bookkeeping is an asset
- Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel & Outlook required
- Proficiency with ADP software is an asset.
- Proven knowledge of accounting
- Working towards CPM or PCP certification is an asset.
