**About the Opportunity**
Equal parts creative writer and content strategist, the Specialist, Content Marketing leads and executes content strategy and creation, developing creative and effective storytelling that propels the brand, drives targeted traffic, increases conversion, and supports the organization’s objectives.
**Duties and Responsibilities**- Uses writing, storytelling and strategizing skills to create and deliver strong, engaging content that resonates with our various audiences- Collaborates with key team members and business areas to develop content strategy, put it into action, monitor and optimize results- Leads complex content projects and initiatives, managing timelines and deliverables- Researches and defines target audiences and their journey- Understands, advocates and trains others on the corporate brand voice- Ensures that SEO and SMO strategies are effectively implemented- Creates and manages an omni channel content calendar- Leads community management of all social channels, monitoring comments and managing DMs to analyze consumer sentiment and use it to dictate content strategy-
- Creates campaign content including project copy, headlines, taglines, multi-page marketing collateral, etc.-
- Creates and delivers effective digital content that meets corporate standards and guidelines- Champions content best practices and trains team members as needed- Maintains awareness of emerging digital content strategy trends, tools and technologies to ensure that content is relevant and appealing- Contributes to building a positive team environment and builds enthusiasm from team around group goals and objectives- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Leadership
**Education and Experience**- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing or a related field- Minimum 5-8 years of related experience
**Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**- Strong knowledge of local real estate market an asset- Expert storyteller who is highly creative and has built a portfolio of published work- Acute attention to detail- Excellent knowledge of consumer and content trends- Strong creative writing skills (engaging, accurate, professional, adaptable)- Ability to optimize writing based on SEO and analytics- Knowledge of website content management systems, online measurement strategies, tools and technologies and social media best practices for copy writing- Fantastic researcher who targets only the most credible sources and know how to quickly locate and distill the most useful/relevant information- Collaborative, creative, flexible, and innovative team player with an ability to work effectively with peers, senior leaders, and key stakeholders- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, always maintains composure and an action-oriented attitude- Excellent problem-solving, and analytical skills with good judgment to make timely and sound decisions- Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow- Experience with MS Office and Google Suite, fundamental understanding of Google Analytics
**Working Conditions**- Our home office is located just outside of Granville Island in Kitsilano and this role is primarily office based with some flexibility to work remotely
