Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for a full-time **Purchasing Coordinator**to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role could either be located in our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility, our our Edmonton, Alberta facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America's largest retailers.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- **Purchasing and Order Management**:

- Monitor and purchase assigned raw materials, packaging materials, and related supplies for Both facilities.
- Ensure required materials are ordered and arrive in a timely manner.
- Process purchase orders, including price confirmation.
- Address any discrepancies in orders with vendors.
- Collaborate with the warehouse for inter-company transfers.
- Verify the accuracy of all purchase order data in the ERP system.
- **Training and Collaboration**:

- Receive proper training for the role, including cross-training and task responsibilities.
- Cooperate with Warehouse and Production for material handling, such as investigating missing materials.
- Work cross-functionally with operations and supporting teams to verify key data and performance reports.
- **Reporting and Meetings**:

- Report all vendor issues to the Purchasing Specialist and Purchasing Director.
- Participate in weekly material expiry meetings.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Maintain work areas in accordance with departmental requirements, company safety policies, and applicable health and safety legislation.
- Follow all company food safety programs, including GMPs, to produce the highest quality product for customers.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working in a similar role considered an asset.
- Education in a related field is considered an asset.
