Purchasing Assistant

Located in Ontario, the CedarCrest Group is a contract architectural wood & acoustic product manufacturer that designs and builds architectural products for our international clients. The CedarCrest brand has been designing, engineering, and manufacturing wood & acoustic product solutions for 30 years. Now integrated with its Think Light Weight and Altispace brands they offer lightweight, acoustical, and environmentally friendly components as part of a growing lineup of architect specified products. We are looking for the ideal person to join our growing family of companies who has a proven track record in product and brand management.

**Job Summary**

As the Purchasing Assistant you will be responsible assisting the Purchasing Manager with day-to-day procurement operations to support ongoing operations.

**Key Responsibilities**

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

- Receiving
- Audit receiving from warehouse
- Process Order Confirmations
- Maintain Order On time tracking report
- Maintain Vendor QC tracking report
- Order consumable / maintenance items
- Outstanding Order Reconciliation
- Back order Reconciliation
- Process Quality Receiving Inspections Reports
- Warehouse accuracy report
- Perform Inventory Cycle Counts
- Perform Inventory Adjustments
- Maintain incoming shipment cost reports
- Schedules and coordinates both domestic and international freight forwarder transactions
- Coordinate product delivery schedules with customers
- Maintains shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information to customers on request.
- Prepares shipping paperwork as well as completes shipping transactions in appropriate systems
- Perform Invoice / Receiving cost analysis and subsequent receiving corrections where necessary.

**Qualifications**
- 2+ years purchasing and/or supply chain experience
- Strong computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) to analyze data and trends. Particularly for Excel
- Experience with inventory management software
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, nonverbal, and presentation); able to convey strong, clear messages of all sizes including co-workers, leadership, customers, and industry groups
- Strong mathematical, analytical, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
Highly motivated, and results-oriented with an ability to multi-task.
Have a thorough understanding of distribution/supplier/vendor networks.
- Conduct business with a high level of ethical standards and integrity
- Strong drive for results and consistently meets deadlines
