Join our dynamic IT team as a Jr. Systems Administrator with a focus on technical support and system administration. We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented individual to ensure our technological infrastructure is secure and efficiently supports our internal operations.
**Job Description**:
As a Jr. Systems Administrator you will be crucial in providing both technical support and to enhance our internal network and systems security. You will work closely with various departments to troubleshoot, maintain, and secure our IT infrastructure, ensuring a safe and productive environment for all employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide IT support to internal departments, addressing both hardware and software issues while ensuring mínimal downtime.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to IT support processes, cybersecurity protocols, and user guides.
- Organize group training or technical support documents, as necessary.
- Collaborate with IT team members to perform regular audits and risk assessments Implement and monitor and protect systems, networks, and data.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network hardware and software, focusing on security parameters.
- Perform daily system & log monitoring to ensuring integrity of all hardware including VOIP system.
- Ensure systems are fully patched and up to date and backups are completed and verified successfully.
- Configure, maintain and troubleshoot TCP and IP networks, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and other networking equipment.
- Educate and train staff on best practices and new technologies.
- Stay abreast of the latest in security systems and threats to continuously refine and enhance security measures.
- Regularly compile and present reports that provide insightful data to key stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Provide both in-person and virtual IT support across multiple sites, ensuring efficient resolution of issues and consistent support regardless of location.
- Occasional travel may be required to provide support at different sites. Transportation arrangements facilitated when possible.
- Occasionally perform after-hours work to support system outages or the implementation of new systems, ensuring mínimal disruption to daily operations.
- Assists Development Team with new projects that support growth across CareKW locations. Including investigating hardware, software or vendor options.
**Technical Skills**:

- Experience working in Windows operating systems, Office 365, and Entra (Azure) Active Directory, Defender.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools and endpoint security.
- Skilled in configuring network hardware and diagnosing network performance issues.
- Knowledge of infrastructure hardening techniques and implementation of cybersecurity measures.
- Independent problem solvers with an entrepreneurial spirit and excellent communication skills.
- Friendly and approachable when assisting and coaching others on technical issues.
- Effective in time management and prioritization, with a keen ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Eager to research and tackle issues in new and unfamiliar domains.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and a
- Willing to deepen knowledge in network management & cybersecurity.
**Required skills**:

- 1-3 years of demonstrated IT support, systems administration and/or cybersecurity experience.
- Experience in a helpdesk type role considered a strong asset.
- Experience in Network administration a strong asset.
- Must have a valid driver's license, in times when travel is required, transportation options may be provided.
