**Dispatcher**

Diversified Transportation in Fort McMurray is currently hiring a Dispatcher to oversee operator assignments and dispatching for their fleet units and routes.

**Work Shift**: 7-on and 7-off shift; 10 hour days (split shift)

**Position Overview**:

- Manage the daily dispatching of operators to fleet units
- Monitor and immediately respond to route, fleet and operator issues making sure service delivery requirements are met; and advising on company safety policies and procedures
- Process and transmit information and instruction to co-ordinate the activities of operators, supervisors, and fleet units using a variety of computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment
- Monitor phones and assist Base Controllers with providing information to customers/passengers and other DTL employees
- Work independently to expediently resolve customer and passenger issues
- Assign units as required
- Any other duties as directed as assigned by the Duty Manager, or their designate

**Years of Experience**:

- 2 years of dispatch experience
- 2 years experience in the transportation industry
- 2 years experience in a customer service role

**Qualifications & Skills Required**:

- General knowledge of Fort McMurray streets and neighborhoods
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and be good in dealing with people in general
- Must have ability to problem solve in a hectic work environment and display a high level of decisiveness
- Experience working in a culturally diverse environment is considered an asset
- Must be able to obtain a clear DNA, PDA and Background Check as required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00 per year
