**Position Description**

The Maintenance Shift Leader leads their assigned maintenance team responsible for the repair of electrical, plumbing, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), small engine repair, carpentry, painting, and other building systems.

**Responsibilities**
- Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
- Work with manager to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegate assignments based on team members' skills and experience.
- Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.
- Assist team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.
- Inspect work performed by team members.
- Track and log workers time, materials, and other resources used for inventory purposes.
- Other assigned duties as assigned.

**Required Skills, Abilities and Qualifications**
- A minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience including electrical, plumbing, welding, and crew lead.
- Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems, prioritize tasks and delegate accordingly.
- Excellent troubleshooting, repair, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to assist maintenance team with technical issues.
- Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
- Must be physically able to lift 25 lbs. at a time and perform repairs when needed.
- Able to work an on-call, rotating schedule.

**Preferred Skills, Abilities and Qualifications***
- Commercial Greenhouse Experience
- JHSC Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Spanish Speaking

**Educational Requirements**
- Certified Journeyman Electrician
