Maintenance Technician

**The Role**:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of harvest, processing, and packaging equipment. The Maintenance Technician is required to execute unplanned and preventative maintenance on equipment using a variety of technical skills to maintain equipment uptime.
- *Due to the nature of the business, occasional weekends are a requirement of the position. This will be decided at the discretion of the Maintenance Manager._
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible to adhere to and maintain and promote a positive company culture.
- Perform maintenance tasks using skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic in repairing and troubleshooting equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to equipment during production time and performs scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Ensure uptime of equipment to meet production requirements.
- Read equipment manuals, drawings, and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to equipment.
- Preform regular preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report unusual situations to supervisor.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean orderly work areas.
- Comply with all GPP/GMP requirements when working on equipment.
- Completion of daily logs and check sheets ensuring detailed and accurate maintenance records.
- Assist in training production personnel in safe and proper operation of equipment.
- Engage with equipment vendors for technical support to resolve equipment issues.
- Assist with new equipment installations and modifications.
- Hands-on approach to working on and troubleshooting equipment processes.
- Ability to prioritize multiple work streams.
- Must be a team player with ability to work and lead in a lightning-fast-paced environment with multi-functional groups.
- Other duties that the Company may assign from time to time.
**Requirements**:
- 3 - 5 years proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
- CPG experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
- Excellent skills in analyzing and diagnosing mechanical issues and the ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to read blueprints, service manuals, and schematics to troubleshoot equipment.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
