We are looking for a Full-time Contractor Sales Rep who is self motivated and looking to build a career with an experienced and driven team of managers and sales reps. Make your next career move with us

**The Role**

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Contractor Sales Representative at Van Beeks is responsible for increasing new account sales, identifying new opportunities and following up on potential leads using your sales experience. Interacting with customers/contractors and providing guidance about Van Beek’s products/materials. Maintains a professional work environment by providing superior customer service and promotes the company’s products and services.

**Responsibilities**

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with new and existing customers, following trends in the market, and takes initiative to discover leads.
  • Interacting with the public, supervisors, fellow employees and building relationships with clients/customers/contractors/stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of company product line and core customers.
  • Data entry of invoices into ERP system.
  • Provide accurate quotes and pricing to customers. Addressing customer product and pricing concerns.
  • Accurately forecast sales, prospecting for new sales clients/accounts.
  • Accountable for achieving annual sales targets as per management.
  • Providing guidance to contractors/customers on products/materials.
  • Develop new sales territory to drive profitability of the existing branch locations and looking to future expansion.
  • May perform other related duties as required.

**Qualifications**

  • Post-Secondary education (an asset).
  • Valid G license and able to travel as required.
  • 3 years relevant or similar experience within material/landscape sales or sales management.
  • Strong project management, new business development and customer retention skills.
  • Experience in landscape or materials industry is considered an asset.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • lifting 30 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.

  • 10 hour shift

**Experience**

  • material/landscape sales: 3 years (preferred)
