In April 2024, the Boards of St. Mary’s General and Grand River Hospitals both independently voted in favor of a voluntary merger of the Hospitals to form a new hospital organization. This evolution of our partnership will occur alongside our joint redevelopment work, as we strive to build a new acute care campus in the community. We welcome talent to both St. Mary’s General Hospital and Grand River Hospital that are ready to be part of an exciting, generational change for hospital care in Waterloo Region.
We are Building the Future of Care Together (BFCT) by developing a shared vision for the future of health care and new hospital infrastructure to care for more patients in our community closer to home for decades to come. Working towards a shared vision Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital will join together as a merged hospital. All sites will be governed by the new, single organization following the planned merger of Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital in 2025.
Led by the Integrated Executive Project Director Transition Management, the Integrated Transition Management Office (TMO) will work collaboratively across both Grand River and St. Mary’s General hospitals to plan, prepare for and execute the merger.
We currently have three temporary full-time vacancies for **Organizational Development & Change Consultant**within Transition Management Office (TMO) at Grand River & St. Mary’s General Hospitals **. These positions are anticipated to extend to November 27, 2026.**
**How Organizational Development & Change Consultants support our teams**:
While reporting to the TMO, this position is accountable to maintain a collaborative partnership with the integrated Learning and Organizational Development Department in order to ensure synergies and alignment in the vision and strategy of the work undertaken.
This position requires strong consulting and organizational skills, an in-depth knowledge of change management best practices, expertise in social and emotional intelligence, agile project management skills, familiarity with learning and organizational development best practices and exceptional communication skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
**The**Organizational Development & Change Consultant**will bring the following**:
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, I/O psychology, human resources, or related discipline.
- Change Management and Coaching Certifications or willingness to undertake these certifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a formal leadership role
- Minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience designing, developing and managing organizational change and engagement efforts
- Significant exposure and applied expertise in leadership coaching, stakeholder consultation, employee engagement and feedback strategies, and user experience design
- Experience with psychometrics and employee listening strategies is essential
- Strong internal consulting and organizational skills
- Exceptional social intelligence to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work with senior leadership
- Healthcare experience is desired
