We currently have an opportunity for a full-time **Everyday Readiness Consultant with the Quality Assurance Team.**

**How Everyday Readiness Consultant our teams at Grand River Hospital**:
The Everyday Readiness Consultant uses expert knowledge and skills to provide support and coaching/mentorship to clinical programs and support services as it relates to process improvement and Accreditation readiness. In performing the functions of this role, the incumbent takes into consideration external and internal drivers in determining actions to provide high quality, safe services that align with Accreditation Standards and Required Organizational Practices (ROP). The incumbent contributes to ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
- Job duties of the Everyday Readiness Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

- Coordinating and providing support for Accreditation readiness from a corporate and clinical lens
- Monitoring unit level compliance with Accreditation and other Patient Safety Standards
- Championing, marketing/communicating, managing, and monitoring the status of Accreditation ROPs and Standards across the organization
- Collaborating with clinical programs and support services to identify gaps, provide support, and champion process improvements to enhance patient safety
- Providing advice, support, and consultation related to Accreditation processes and expectations
- Participation on related organizational committees and working groups to assist in Accreditation readiness
- Facilitate regular on-unit tracers and assessments of compliance of Accreditation standards, providing regular reports on successes, gaps, and trends

**At Grand River Hospital, the Everyday Readiness Consultant has**:

- Undergraduate degree in Healthcare Management or a health related discipline
- Master’s Degree in Health Sciences, Business Administration, or Health Administration preferred
- 5 - 7 years of experience in an Accredited health care setting
- Certification in LEAN/Six Sigma and working knowledge of IHI improvement model preferred
- Project Management Program, or other relevant education/experience preferred
- Certification in Patient Safety (CPPS) or other relevant education/experience preferred
- Previous experience in a health care setting championing project management, quality improvement and/or patient safety preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Accreditation Canada Qmentum program
- Expert in the coordination of Accreditation readiness and survey process
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills including demonstrated expertise in meeting and group facilitation
- Exceptional change management, problem solving, negotiations and conflict resolution skills
- Proven ability in the collection, interpretation, and presentation of data including performance metrics identification and analysis
- Ability to research and interpret evidence-informed practices to inform decision making for quality improvement initiatives that align with Accreditation
- Team-focused approach including engagement, flexibility, and an excellent attendance record
- Demonstrated problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks and time demands
