**THE WORK**
The Health and Safety Coordinator will be responsible to promote safety attitudes, safe work practices and environments, manage, maintain and administer the Health and Safety program, COR®, with the objective to minimize accidents, injuries and environmental damage. Major duties will include but never be limited to:
- Coordinate requirements for achieving and maintaining COR® certification
- Promote and Enforce Acapulco's Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
- Coordinate and manage employee training, including safety orientations
- Facilitate the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee
- Promote health and safety awareness among all employees
- Investigate and report workplace injuries, incidents and near misses, including recommendations to prevent reoccurrence
- Develop and maintain safety plans, hazard assessments, controls, safety reports and appropriate records
- Conduct required site inspections
- Complete internal audits
- Daily management of all site safety paperwork
- Ensure safety orientations for subcontractors is completed
- Enforce company rules
- Other duties as assigned
**THE SKILLS**
- 2-3 years of experience in a Health & Safety role
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
- Knowledgeable in Occupational Health and Safety legislation
- COR® Internal Auditor
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Computer literacy skills
- Detail oriented - Organized, Accurate, Multi-tasked
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and professional demeanor, highly motivated team player
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and expedited requirements

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
