**Remuneration**: Starting at $32.82/hr (Program Officer Pay Scale)

**The Position**

We seek a passionate & visionary **Youth Coordinator**, who leads our youth programming and engages youth between the ages of 18 - 35 of diverse backgrounds in Saskatchewan. You will attract, inspire and engage youth for leadership and educational programs both in-person and online.

This job description outlines the general areas of responsibility and ongoing tasks associated with this position. Specific tasks and priorities may be assigned or modified by management through program and work planning.

**Youth Program Duties**:

- Coordinate Youth Leadership programming including Generating Momentum Leadership Camp, Youth Advisory Council, Experiential Learning Tour and virtual opportunities;
- Foster collaborative programming partnerships (Regina Public Interest Research Group (RPIRG), Open Door Society, NextUp Saskatchewan, and so on);
- Work with partners to provide impactful youth leadership training and engagement opportunities across Saskatchewan;
- Ensure SCIC’s development principles, values, and crosscutting themes (gender equality, human rights, environmental sustainability and innovation) are integrated into the Councils’ Youth Programming activities;
- Liaise and support member based university campus groups;
- Foster and support opportunities for youth with member organizations

**Other Duties**:

- Ensure appropriate quantitative and qualitative evaluation data is collected on all youth programs and events
- Work within budget and deliverable guidelines as outlined by funding agreements and as directed by the Executive Director;
- Participate in staff meetings and program planning as required;
- Complete regular work planning and reports as required;
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

**Knowledge, Skill & Ability Requirements**:

- Completion of a Bachelor degree plus 2-3 years of professional youth program design experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Excellent written and oral communications skills; including proficiency with Microsoft Suite;
- Demonstrated understanding of global to local connection, youth empowerment, intersectionality and solidarity education;
- Experience working within a variety of cultural environments considered an asset;
- Excellent organizational skills and experience with program planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, including Results Based Management;
- Ability to be flexible and to work in relatively unstructured situations;
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision with multiple deadlines;
- Experience or proven interest in international cooperation, non-profit, humanitarian and/or education sector(s);
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as a member of a team.
