Job Description

AltaGas - Energy Services Analyst

Reporting to the Team Lead, Marketing Accounting, this position is responsible for the monthly accounting for natural gas liquids trading activity.

You will:

- Accurate and timely settlement and processing of physical NGL Marketing transactions.
- Settlement and processing of financial transactions.
- Verifying inputs and outputs for accurate accruals.
- Liaise between front office, middle office and management to develop and maintain flow of information.
- Complete reconciliations of various general ledger accounts.
- Assist with the compilation and filing of various regulatory reports.
- Reconcile margin on a monthly basis to provide an in depth understanding to operations of the financial results of their business and ensure accuracy of reported results.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

You have:

- Bachelors’ degree (Commerce, Business Administration or related discipline) and professional accounting designation or working towards designation (CPA or CFA).
- Previous experience with NGL Marketing would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work under pressure with mínimal supervision, have a strong attention to detail and be able to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent excel skills.
- Knowledge of Allegro, JD Edwards and Power BI considered an asset.
