Kerr Group of Companies is seeking an exceptional Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Human Resources Manager, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. With a seat at the leadership table, you will be empowered to influence and shape our organization's future.
**Responsibilities**:
**Full Cycle Recruitment**
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies, tapping into diverse talent pools and leveraging cutting-edge recruitment technologies
**Retention & Culture**
- Employ your charisma to retain top talent, creating and developing an inclusive and engaging work environment that inspires excellence
- Develop and implement retention strategies that recognize and nurture employee growth and well-being
- Cultivate employee engagement by fostering a culture of communication, inclusion, and continuous learning
**Occupational Health & Safety***
- Ensure the company is compliant with legislative and industry Occupational Health and Safety requirements by researching, developing, consulting and recommending appropriate strategies and procedures.
- Oversee the WCB claims process and the return to work process
- Ensure safety topics are being discussed during weekly and monthly toolbox meetings
- Ensure Managers are conducting proper incident/accident investigation
**Policy**
- Bring your expert eye to review and develop HR policies that support our organization's goals and values
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, while nurturing a fair and respectful workplace
- Maintain HR policies that align with industry best practices and mitigate risks
**Skills & Experience**:
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- CPHR designation
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HR roles, with a strong focus on recruitment, talent management, and policy development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism
- Strong working knowledge of Human Rights, Provincial Labour Standards, Privacy legislation, and Occupational Health and safety legislation
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management
