**Steele Auto Group is seeking a Human Resource Generalist**
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will provide valued direction, service, support and advice to managers and employees, liaise with company leaders to determine their needs, support HR systems, as well as be proactive in promoting human resources best practices, policies and procedures. The individual will be part of a team of HR experts within Steele Auto Group, however this role will also work closely with designated dealerships specific to their HR operational needs. This is an exceptional opportunity for the right person who is interested in diversity, modernization of HR practices and a challenging and rewarding work environment.
Other responsibilities will include:
**Strategic People Initiatives**: Be part of the HR team who will be key in preparing the organization for the future - participating in the implementation of strategic people initiatives including succession planning, talent management and leadership development.
**Supporting the Business with Analytics**:Partner with stakeholders to provide key people measures and analytics to support the better decision making.
**Health and Wellness Champion**: Oversee full-cycle absence management for employees on leave, including medical, WCB and LTD, ensuring a safe and healthy return to the workplace. Assist in employee benefits administration.
**Employee Relations**:Guide and assist managers and employees on day-to-day situations that require HR leadership.
**Annual Calendar of Commitments**: Including employee surveys, development planners, performance reviews, benefit renewals, service awards, compensation reviews and training sessions for management and staff

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years’ progressive experience in Human Resources
- University degree in a related field
- CPHR designation an asset
- Experience working in disability case management and return to work planning
- Strong knowledge of workers compensation legislation in Atlantic Canada
- Knowledge of human resources principles and legislation
- Thrive in a fast paced, performance driven culture
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Excel
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to build rapport and maintain a high level of confidence and integrity at all levels of the organization
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines (Excellent time management skills)
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Valid Driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
- Experience with UKG pro or other HRIS
- Ability to travel
