About the Role
As a Project Manager, you’ll report directly to the General Manager and play a key role in leading projects from inception to completion. You’ll drive business growth, oversee project execution, and ensure operational excellence across various clients, locations, and product lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple projects at various stages, ensuring customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and profitability (typically overseeing $5M in revenue).
- Champion our commitment to safety and uphold our core values in all aspects of project execution.
- Secure contracts with customers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance and clarity.
- Oversee project tools, personnel, and management systems from initiation to completion.
- Strategically plan and staff key field positions in collaboration with department heads and construction managers.
- Organize and lead internal project meetings, ensuring seamless coordination among superintendents, field engineers, and subcontractors.
- Attend pre-construction meetings with customers, ensuring alignment with their expectations and project requirements.
- Manage critical project documentation, including permits, submittals, and insurance requirements.
- Monitor project performance daily, tracking costs, schedules, and production metrics.
- Oversee financial aspects of contracts, safeguarding company interests while fostering positive client relationships.
- Prepare and submit corporate reporting, including weekly and monthly project progress updates.
- Identify and manage scope changes, executing necessary change orders with customers.
- Develop and implement Quality, Safety, and Engineering Management Plans to drive project success.
- Verify and document all job costs, ensuring financial accuracy within the project management system.
- Complete project close-out reports, addressing final work scope changes and revenue opportunities.
- Manage invoicing and payment collections, ensuring financial consistency.
- Provide exceptional leadership, motivating teams and fostering collaboration.
- Maintain and update customer and contractor databases to strengthen relationships and business opportunities.

What You'll Bring
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management tools like MS Project and Primavera.
- Proven ability to plan, schedule, and manage complex projects efficiently.
- Deep understanding of bidding, contracting, procurement, negotiations, and cash flow management.
- Experience leading high-performing teams and cultivating strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strategic problem-solving skills, anticipating challenges and identifying innovative solutions.
- Expertise in contract negotiation and management.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in fast-changing environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines under pressure.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification.
- At least 5 years of experience in the construction/industrial sector, with a focus on contract management.
