**JOB OVERVIEW**
**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Conduct thorough inspections of civil construction projects, including dirt works and concrete structures.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
- Monitor and document construction activities, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve construction challenges and improve quality control processes.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections and test results.
- Verify materials, workmanship, and installation practices to ensure adherence to project requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to construction teams on best practices and compliance issues.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum of 5 years of civil inspection experience, with a focus on earth works and concrete.
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Must be fit-for-duty.
- Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
- Must be able to provide clean Canadian criminal record check (within 30 days of hire)
- CSTS 2020, First Aid, WHMIS, and TDG certification an asset
