No restaurant can succeed without an amazing expediter - the communication hub for any successful service. The lead expediter position is a pivotal position at the Cambridge Mill, responsible for the successful pacing and execution of our restaurant services. This is a potential entry into management and requires an individual who is comfortable in leading a team. They become a liaison between the front of house team, and the kitchen team, ensuring accurate and efficient communication. In their role, they are responsible for the training, guidance and mentorship of our other support staff and runners, ensuring they are adhering to our standards of practice while being welcoming and informative at the table.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Responsible for our team of runners and support staff - ensuring compliance with scheduling and uniform standards. This includes training, development and assisting in creating a fostering environment for your team.
- Have an excellent relationship with both the FOH team and the BOH team to ensure efficient and accurate communication at all times.
- Understand the composition of each menu item as well as the ingredients and allergens present in each dish.
- Assist servers with table maintenance by removing courses when completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses, resetting tables as required.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency while remaining poised during peak periods and seek out additional tasks during slower periods, such as polishing cutlery or glassware, assembling items necessary for reset, etc.
- Communicate and be an example of Cambridge Mill's core values by demonstrating genuine and thoughtful hospitality in the day-to-day execution of duties.

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
