**About This Position**: Under direction of the Chief People Officer, the HR Business Partner is responsible for full-cycle Human Resources support for our offices. We are looking for an expert in planning and executing of HR processes, providing internal support, and mainstreaming all practices and procedures. In this position you will ensure HR compliance across five Canadian offices located in 4 separate provinces while proactively creating a positive environment for over 100 employees. You will be responsible for working directly with employees and managers company-wide to provide trainings, ensure employee relations situations are managed correctly, and HR policies are being understood and followed.
**What You’ll Do**:
- Be responsible for all human resource activities in Canada to include compliance, employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, and talent acquisition
- Promote and foster a fun and engaging work environment; raise awareness of available programs to assist employees and be a champion for our We Care FIRST culture
- Work with the HR team to manage HRIS, I-9 system, and others ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality throughout Canada
- Support measurement of productivity and addressing of productivity issues
- Work with leaders on workforce planning, including position control/review; aligning with budget, productivity metrics, succession planting, etc.
- Own applicable employee leaves of absence/return to work administration at facility level
- Counsel managers and employees on situational issues and help them adapt to changing environments and growth; resolve employee conflicts, ethics, or compliance investigations
- Prepare/coordinate events e.g. holiday celebrations, employee recognition events, service awards, community support
- Deploy performance management/appraisal program tools and processes. Includes training, coaching, participating in assigning ratings, feedback sessions and developing performance improvement plans
- Participate in recruiting, filling positions in Operations
**What We’re Looking For**:
- 5+ years of professional HR experience working for Canadian companies
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
- CPHR, CHRL, or equivalent HR certification and/or post-graduate education in an HR related field strongly preferred
- Strong HR compliance knowledge and ability to ensure compliance in Canada is consistently met
- Proven experience excelling in employee relations
- Call center experience is a plus
- Ability to speak French fluently is a plus
