**Position Title**
- Program Coordinator (Extended Education)**Position Summary**
- The Program Coordinator, Extended Education is a key leadership position that is responsible for the growth of Extended Education within their sector, including program planning, contract training, consulting services, partnership initiation and management.- The Program Coordinator is responsible for new program development, community liaison and quality control within an assigned field of expertise. The incumbent will be responsible for market research, establishing budgets and maintaining internal and external relationships.**Position Responsibilities**
- Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Program Development/Implementation/Evaluation:
- Develop/create courses and programs (certificate/contract training/open enrolment) to meet the needs of business, industry and the community.
- Develop/create courses/programs with the opportunity for laddering and stacking toward RDP credit programs using micro-credentialing and digital badging pedagogy
- Design/develop//broker/curate and evolve curriculum as required.
- Identifies supplies/books/software/equipment/facilities required.
- Program Research- Conduct market research and needs assessment.
- Develop and maintain professional contacts.
- Liaise with professional associations/advisory committees.
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with the Credit Program Associate Deans and faculty.

Customer Service- Represent Extended Education on internal and external committees/organizations.
- Promote Extended Education activities internally and externally.
- Sell Continuing Education products to the community.
- Resolve customer complaints/inquiries that are specific to program or instructional quality.

Budgetary Responsibilities- Develop program area budget to meet targets/operating margins as established with the Dean
- Establish individual course budgets.
- Work with Operations Manager to resolve budget issues and discrepancies.

Personnel- Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, orientation and performance management of Extended Ed. Instructional staff.
- Supervise Extended Ed. Instructional staff.
- Negotiate Extended Ed. Non-credit instructor contracts and pay rates.

Marketing- Determine and define the various target markets pertinent to the area of expertise.
- Develop marketing plans for program area in consultation with the Promotions Coordinator
- Collaborate on the design of specific marketing materials.
- Prepare course descriptions and write-ups.
- Media liaison.

**Required Qualifications**
- Four (4) year undergraduate degree, or three (3) year undergraduate degree plus one full additional year of University in a related program representing four years of study, or equivalent in combination of education and experience
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in education programming, adult education or workplace learning and development
- Program/curriculum development
- A proven track record of relationship cultivation and stewardship
- Ability to excel and contribute to an entrepreneurial environment
- Supervisory experience - recruitment, onboarding and evaluating Subject-Matter-Experts and part-time instructional staff
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to travel within Central Alberta

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in adult education, laddering non-credit programs to certificates, diplomas and degrees
- Experience with micro-credentials and digital badging pedagogy
- Exceptional leadership and business programming acumen
