Translation Specialist

The Translation Specialist will be primarily responsible for execution of high-quality English to French and French to English translations. The role will require the use of superior skills to complete translations with efficiency, and delivery of various projects and requirements across multiple functions in a fast-paced environment.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Perform high-quality translations from English to French and French to English, collaborating with multiple functions and departments across the enterprise.
- Support development of French content for online and print media while maintaining essence of original content.
- Review and verify terminology, documents, policies, and communications prior to implementation/distribution for various functions.
- Provide guidance to external and internal partners on terminology, style and tone of content considering factors such as company culture, service offerings and corporate branding.
- Support creation of training documents, tools and videos by completing French translations and voiceover for videos, as required.
- Participate in ad hoc projects with cross-functional teams while developing effective relationships with internal and external partners.

**Education/Skills/Experience**:

- 3+ years’ experience as English-French translator, preferably in a corporate environment
- Diploma or Degree specializing in English to French Canadian translation, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in written and oral English and French Canadian, including effective writing, proofreading, editing, spelling and grammar skills
- Effective communication, organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of translations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of broader teams
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
