Compass is seeking an **Invoice Specialist**
**What You Will Do**
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Prepare and post invoices to our accounting system
- Liase with the sales department to validate and manage billing terms on projects
- Assess customer billing requirements and prepare invoices as required
- Collect all relevant data and analyze costs for each project
- Reconcile billing and cost information between the ticketing and accounting systems
- Investigate inconsistencies in project inputs and find solutions with operations and sales teams
- Expedite the invoice approval process and make necessary billing adjustments based on management feedback. Submit invoices to customers for approval
- Research and settle customer A/R issues with customer AP department
- Ensuring that summary milestone status reports are up-to-date and accurate
- Interacting with clients to follow-up outstanding balances, resolve or escalate issues and ensure the billing and payment process is smooth and timely

**What You Bring**
Your education and experience include
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
- In lieu of experience, relevant education would apply, i.e., Bachelor of Commerce This would be a suitable role for a student in the CPA program looking to article in industry
- Is detail orientated and takes initiative, creativity
- Have strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and an ability to work independently
- Is proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite, with strong MS Excel skills
