**Title**: Nursing Practice Consultant
**Salary**: $102,490 - $125,736 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Permanent Part-time 0.6 FTE
**Hours**: 22.5 hours a week (core hours Mon-Fri 9am-3pm)
**Location**: Remote
- Anywhere in British Columbia
**Bargaining Unit**: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada)

**About the role**
This role is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive clinical and community health nursing orientation programs tailored to the unique needs of nurses working in remote First Nations communities. It provides expert clinical guidance to support safe, competent care across primary health, health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment services for individuals, families, and communities. As a key resource for nursing staff, mentorship nurses, student nurses, and other healthcare personnel, the position fosters professional development through in-services, case conferencing, and training sessions. It also contributes to the creation of educational materials and supports the implementation of preceptorship and mentoring programs, ensuring adherence to the Registered Nurse Association of British Columbia. Travel will be required to remote nursing stations so must possess a valid driver’s license.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Education, Training and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Three (3) years of experience in community and/or public health nursing providing clinical practice support and education to nurses.

Occupational Certification
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
- Remote Certified Practice with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
- Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP)..
- Knowledge
- Knowledge of, and ability to apply, an understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols in work situations.
- Knowledge of concepts, principles and theories of trans-cultural nursing, including traditional, homeopathic or other healing practices used in the community.
- Knowledge of advanced clinical nursing practice, including current clinical treatment practices, principles, techniques, disease symptoms, and accident indicators.

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours.
