**Title**: Nursing Practice Consultant - Harm Reduction and Substance Use
**Salary**: $99,505 - $122,073 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Permanent
**Hours**: 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday (core hours 9am - 3pm)
**Location**: Park Royal, West Vancouver - Hybrid (50% in office). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, Summer 2026.

**About the role**
As the Nursing Practice Consultant - Harm Reduction and Substance Use, you will - deliver professional nursing support and educational activities to community based First Nation Health Service Organizations and FNHA nursing programs in relation to mental health and substance use. You will provide direct support to improve nursing practice standards in communities with a focus on the activity of RN/RPN prescribing of opiate agonist treatment and addressing the toxic drug crisis. This role supports on-the-ground planning and implementation of harm reduction and substance use training and skill development activities for community nurses employed in the delivery of nursing care in First Nations communities.
- Travel to communities in the Vancouver Coastal Region will be a requirement of the position.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have/be
- Bachelor’s degree in registered nursing or bachelor’s degree in psychiatric nursing, from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Additional training and education related to substance use, harm reduction, mental health and trauma informed practice.
- Completion of BCCSU RN/RPN Prescribing Education Program is an asset.
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse (RN) or registered psychiatric nurse (RPN) providing clinical practice support in primary care, community and/or public health nursing or acute care, ambulatory care and/or outpatient centres, including two (2) years of experience caring for clients with harm reduction and substance use concerns.

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
