**Location**: Edmonton, Alberta or Remote

**Work Schedule**: Monday
- Friday

**Position Overview**

**Responsibilities **(include but not limited to)**:

- Implement effective HSE programs that proactively look at safety differently.
- Lead, identify, and manage HSE risk across the organization.
- Monitor HSE effectiveness and report on organizational WHS performance.
- Mentor and coach team members to positively impact Velocity's safety culture.
- Create a high-performing, safety culture.
- Engage with and influence a sizeable operational workforce.
- Work for a growing organization.
- Travel inter-provincial, which may include overnight stays.

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Certificate / Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Demonstrated experience of at least five (5) years in a Health, Safety, and Environmental position.
- Is currently working in a similar industry or environment.
- A passion to drive, break down barriers, challenge, motivate, and positively impact safety with communication, honesty, and empowering employees.
