Small Engine Technician

Are you passionate about working with engines and fixing things? Do you enjoy hands-on work and want to develop valuable mechanical skills? If so, **Garneau Systems** is looking for a **Small Engine Technician / Apprentice** to join our growing team
We are a **locally owned** small engine repair business, specializing in **lawnmowers, snowblowers, chainsaws, generators, and other small equipment**. No experience is required but small engines experience an asset —we provide **comprehensive training** to help you succeed
**Responsibilities**:
Assist in diagnosing and repairing **small engines and outdoor power equipment**
Perform **oil changes, tune-ups, and part replacements** on various machines
Clean, inspect, and test equipment to ensure proper functionality
Maintain an organized and safe workspace
Communicate with customers in a friendly and professional manner
Learn and follow safety procedures and repair techniques
**Use and learn in-house systems and apps** for tracking repairs, inventory, and customer updates
**What We’re Looking For**:
✔ **Motivated, hardworking, and eager to learn** - No prior experience is necessary
✔ A strong **attention to detail** and ability to follow instructions
✔ Basic mechanical skills or experience with tools (an asset but not required)
✔ Ability to **lift and maneuver equipment** as needed
✔ A positive attitude and **willingness to work in a hands-on environment**

**Job Types**: Casual, Apprenticeship
Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
