**How you’ll contribute**

As one of our **Small Engine and Tool Technicians**, you’ll play a key role in maintaining our in-store Rental Equipment through:

- Inspecting, cleaning, testing, and refueling electrical (110V / 240V), 2/4 stroke engine and heating equipment
- Conducting minor repairs and maintenance items including: checking/gapping spark plugs, replacing air filters, greasing/lubricating bearings/joints, replacing/tensioning belts, etc.
- Determining the serviceability or need for repair for a variety of General Tool equipment including demo hammers, tampers, drills, aerators, lawn & garden equipment.
- Ensuring service orders meet quality and safety standards and produce consistent and reliable products
- Following the appropriate checklists and procedures including reading and referring to owner’s manuals and schematics when servicing equipment
- Completing all work orders and related paperwork with respect to the service of equipment in order to preserve the integrity of our Rental Management computer system.
- Operating and testing equipment and, where possible, doing so under actual operating conditions.
- Possessing excellent product knowledge and transferring this knowledge to customers, including features, benefits, safe operating techniques, and related accessories and products.
- Supporting store staff when required, including loading/unloading equipment and merchandising
- Adhering to and promoting our Company Safety Policies, including wearing required PPE
- Completing other duties as assigned

**What we’re looking for**
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required
- Small engine trades and/or G2 Gas certification is an asset
- Experience with Manual and Power Tools
- A strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- A G Driver’s license with a clean abstract is a bonus
