Snow Removal Technician

**Overview**
We are looking for reliable, hard-working individuals to join our team for snow removal services in the Hamilton area. As a Snow Removal Technician, you will play an essential role in ensuring driveways, walkways, and other properties are cleared of snow and salted during the winter months.
**Duties**
- Operate snow plow trucks and other snow removal equipment to clear roads, parking lots, and walkways (if licensed).
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust operations accordingly to ensure timely snow removal.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including checking fluid levels, changing blades, and cleaning machinery.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for additional tasks such as digging, building, or maintaining landscape features as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and effective communication during snow events.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including hours worked and materials used.
**Skills**
- Clear snow from residential and commercial properties using manual tools and small engine machinery.
- Operate snow blowers, shovels, and other snow removal equipment efficiently.
- Respond promptly to weather conditions and service requests, ensuring timely snow removal.
- Maintain and care for snow removal equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring all work is completed safely and to client satisfaction.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous snow removal experience is an asset.
- Experience with small engine machines (e.g., snow blowers, lawnmowers) is a strong asset.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in cold weather conditions.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving snow and equipment.
- Dependable, responsible, and punctual.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class G Licence (preferred)
