Hamilton, Canada Trace Fire Protection Full time

Trace Fire Protection currently has opening for a junior fire alarm technician.

This isn’t an electrical apprenticeship position.

Information about Trace: Established in 1993; over 85 full time employees; Office based in Markham, Ontario; Service and inspection at over 1500 sites in the GTA area In house design, electrical, fire alarm, and sprinkler divisions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Annual and monthly testing on fire alarm, sprinkler, portable equipment, and emergency lighting systems
- Occasional service or repairs with other technicians
- Small repairs and assisting on projects and larger repairs as needed from time to time
- You must show up on time every day and put in a full day's work. You must be prepared to drive to the various jobsites that we service on a daily basis in the GTA.

**Qualifications**:

- Background in a related school or trade (example electronics, fire protection engineering, technical courses).
- Ability to make it to jobsites in the GTA, Peel, etc in a reliable manner (we have a 1 hour service area from 401 and 404) and try to stream west end employees to Toronto and West sites, and east end employees to Toronto and East sites.
- Willingness to learn, show up on time.
- Prior mechanical or technical experience is a benefit.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.00-$25.00 per hour
