The Health & Safety Coordinator will play an integral role assisting with day to day administration and management of ONSITE SAFETY MANAGEMENT INC. COR certified Health & Safety Management System.

Under the supervision of the Safety Manager, the Health and Safety Coordinator will be responsible for the daily support and administration of new client on-boarding, including safety orientations, record keeping of workers on-boarding information, generation of safety statistical, leading the subcontractor management program and other duties described under Key Responsibilities or as directed.

Skills and Attributes
- Strong written and oral communication (e.g., safety talks, alerts)
- Self-starter, proactive in reviewing HSMS for compliance and updates
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation (asset)
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Effective communication with customers, stakeholders, and co-workers
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to take ownership and eagerness to learn

Experience
- 2-4 years' experience in a safety-related role
- Certifications: NCSO, NHSA, or post-secondary in Occupational Health & Safety (asset)
- Experience with subcontractor management and pre-qualification (asset)
- Experience in building and delivering training programs
- Experience in setting up large venues (e.g., annual safety meetings) (asset)
- Familiarity with COR & SECOR audit process (asset)
- Experience with online registry management (e.g., ISN, Complyworks, Cognibox, Avetta) (asset)

**Day-to-Day Activities**:

- Travel to sites for inspections and meetings
- Develop and review health & safety programs, legislation, safe work practices, procedures, and hazard assessments

**Health and Safety Administration**:

- Review and document control of inspections, incidents, and meetings
- Monitor compliance with client HSMS
- Track and report statistics (monthly)
- Provide incident notifications to management and HR
- Assist with Early & Safety Return to Work Program
- Update and review risk registry
- Track and review incidents, third-party orders, and action items (PIR, OHS)
- Coordinate training scheduling with clients
- Update client employee profiles with new training records
- Manage Subcontractor Management program and communicate with site teams and external parties
- Oversee purchasing, price review, and asset management for PPE and maintenance items
- Prepare JHSC meeting packages and minutes for local clients
- Participate in and lead JHSC inspections as required
- Prepare site-specific safety packages for new projects
- Complete AASP, ACSA COR & SECOR audits as directed

Pay: $71,979.00-$75,242.00 per year
