**Job Title: Health and Safety Consultant**

**Location**: Lethbridge, Alberta (50% Remote Work from Home + 50% Project-Based Field Work)

**Responsibilities**:

- Leading and lagging indicator reporting, providing guidance and coaching to client employees.
- Conducting workplace inspections and audits.
- Reviewing safety inspections and assisting with Safe Work Practices, Procedures, and Job Hazard Assessment development.
- Managing safe work permits, safety orientations, and site training requirements.
- Developing and implementing Site-Specific Safety Plans.
- Ensuring compliance with local regulations, supporting safety assessments, and risk management.
- Participating in incident investigations and follow-ups, developing safety lessons learned.
- Identifying improvement opportunities within safety/health/security and emergency preparedness.
- Assessing compliance with safety codes and procedures, participating in regulatory incident investigations.
- Creating, conducting, or participating in safety meetings and reports, encouraging worker participation.
- Communicating identified concerns and facilitating resolution.
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with all legislation, policies, and standards.
- Assisting with Client Safety Management System requirements and maintaining emergency response plans.

**Qualifications**:

- Must reside in the Lethbridge region.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in health and safety management - experience in the manufacturing sector is an asset.
- Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Acts, Regulations, and Codes, and how it pertains to daily field tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively lead and influence teams.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Occupational Health & Safety Certificate, NCSO, and/or Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST), and/or Canadian Registered Safety Professional Designation (CRSP) is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to travel 50% of the time.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent).
