- As a Learning and Development Advisor in Information Technology, you will develop, deliver, facilitate and support training for technology initiatives for staff in IT and other Business Units. Primary duties include:
- Lead the learning and development component of training initiatives, including managing internal project team members, external vendors, developing cost estimates, setting priorities and reporting on
- project progress and timelines.
- Deliver operational and project-based training.
- Conduct needs assessments, design responsive learning strategies and plans, create content and
- implement training using appropriate delivery methods.
- Support opportunities for continuous improvement including training evaluations for measuring learning success, facilitate collection of information such as conducting in-person sessions or distributing surveys to trainees, reporting on results and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain and update training materials.
**Qualifications**
- A completed 2 year diploma in Adult Learning or a related field plus at least 5 years of learning and development experience; OR
- A degree in Computer Technology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field plus at least 3 years of learning and development experience.
- Previous experience with Articulate and eLearning authoring software is preferred.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is an asset.
- Basic proficiency in using emerging technologies (for example: Microsoft Copilot) will be considered an asset.
- Certification from the Association for Talent Development or the Institute for Performance and Learning would be considered assets.
- Success in this position requires critical thinking ability, proven analytical and problem-solving skills and effective written and oral communication skills.
- This position requires adaptability and an ongoing learning mindset.
